The Unstable Times of Today

• We face unstable and disturbing times today
  threat of outside enemies, gross violence and
  immorality, anti-Biblical politicians, economic
  hardships, etc.
• The affect of such things can lead one to
  anxiety, fear, depression, murmuring,
  complaining, suicide, revolt, unfaithfulness,
  etc.
• Faithful Christians are undisturbed by these
  disturbing times

• Stability comes through wisdom and knowledge

• Stability comes through salvation (Heb. 618-19)
• Stability comes through fearing the Lord (Job

• We can be stable in a extremely ungodly nation,
  in a humanistic educational setting, in a
  religiously diverse world, in a grossly immoral
  society, etc.
• We can be rooted and grounded (Eph. 317
  Col. 123 27)
• We can be no longer children tossed to and fro
  (Eph. 414)
• We can be steadfast (1 Pet. 59 2 Pet. 317)

• The obedience of the gospel for the religious is
  vital in our time (Mt. 721 Lk. 646)
• The nurture and admonition of the Lord for the
  children is vital in our times (Eph. 64)
• The prayer of the righteous for leaders is vital
  in our times (1 Tim. 21-2)
• The assembly of the saints for worship is vital
  in our times (Heb. 1025)
