Declarative Sentences

• It tells something.

• It ends with a period.

• Examples

• Deserts are dry.

• It asks something.

• It ends with a question mark (?).

• Examples

• Are deserts always hot?

• How old are you?

Imperative Sentences

• It gives an order.

• It ends with a period.

• Examples

• Always complete your homework.

• Sit down.

Exclamatory Sentences

• It expresses a strong feeling.

• It ends with a punctuation mark.

• Examples

• How hot it was!

• How exciting that was!
