Strategy for Planning Country Health Services in SA Priority areas identified include HCSCC Charter
Focus on increasing the capacity of country general hospitals. GP Plus and primary health care will be enhanced through all hospitals and health services. Community health and outpatients service will vary, depending on the needs of the local communities. Local clinical networks for mental health services will provide integrated services and strong partnerships. Mental health nurse practitioners helps access to care for those living in the country who are most in need. Continue the Patient Journey Initiative to improve coordination of care, discharge planning and transition. 1. ACCESS Right to access health community services
Statewide Clinical Networks aim to coordinate better delivery of services, improve health outcomes for all and ensure a strong, sustainable health workforce. Work to address current workforce shortages to retain highly skilled staff. 2. SAFETY Right to be safe and free from abuse
Aboriginal health will be boosted by a Centre for Excellence in ATSI Health in Pt Augusta focusing on demonstrating, modelling and teaching best practice in Aboriginal health. 3. QUALITY Right to quality service
