What is RSS?

• According to Wikipedia, RSS (Real Simple
  Syndication) is a simple XML-based system that
  allows users to subscribe to their favorite
  websites.
• A program known as a feed reader or aggregator
  can check a list of feeds on behalf of a user and
  display any updated articles that it finds.

What is an Aggregator?

• According to Wikipedia, aggregators reduce the
  time and effort needed to regularly check
  websites for updates, creating a unique
  information space or "personal newspaper." Once
  subscribed to a feed, an aggregator is able to
  check for new content at user-determined
  intervals and retrieve the update.
