• 5 minutes
• Write in your lab notebooks (or a paper which you
  will copy into one later)
• Your group will receive 2 Alka-Seltzer tablets.
  What is something you can change about one and
  not the other? That will be your independent
  variable.
• What are 10 (yes TEN!) effects that this change
  might have on the Alka-Seltzer tablet when you
  put it in water and it effervesces? These are
  your dependent variables. These are what you
  will watch for when you dissolve the tablets.
