the British and Native Americans vs. The USA in
the Northwest Territories. Tippecanoe was a
battle won by the US. Harrison was a general who
led the battles vs. the Native Americans, and
Little Turtle was a tribal leader. The issues
between the Native American and the USA were seen
as fueled by the British and led to much anger
toward them.

members of his political party (the Democratic
Republicans) Madison also felt pressure to make
the general population happy as they felt that
Britain was pushing him around. This sign of
weakness might hurt him as he ran for
re-election against anyone the Federalists put
