2What is an Arabian Tahr?
This animal has long reddish brown hair with a
dark stripe down their back and short goat like
stubby horns. The tahr weighs approximately 23 kg.
3What Do They Eat?
They mainly feed on the plant species. This
animal does not eat meat. They are vegetarians.
4Where are They?
They live in Sultanate of Oman and United Arab
Emirates. It has been recorded in several wadis
within the mountain ranges of UAEs east coast
and there is also a well-known population
thriving on the Jebel Hafit.
5Where Do They Live?
The Tahr lives on the mountains. Whenever their
on the mountains they are on steep cliffs.
6Why is This Creature Endangered?
They are endangered because poachers are killing
them and their habitat is being destroyed by
Feral goats.

- Needs to drink water everyday
- The smallest of three kinds of species
- They can climb vertical faces of cliffs
8My Viewpoint
I dont think this animal should be endangered
because they dont do any harm to humans. Also
poachers shouldnt be killing them.
