STEAM ACCUMULATOR

• Vessel used to store steam otherwise released in
  the atmosphere
• A system much more advanced than steam transfer,
  because it

• Does not depend on perfect production timing

USING HEAT EXCHANGERS TO PREHEAT THE WATER IN THE
BOILER

• This system uses two or more heat exchangers
  one at the exhaust point of the autoclave, the
  other transfers heat from the hot condensate that
  is released during autoclaving.

AUTOCLAVE INSULATION

• Relatively cheap way to improve efficiency if
