  • Excuses
  • 1.28-45 Arjunas reasons why not to fight
  • Ready for success
  • Bg 2.7 - Now I am confused about my duty and have
lost all composure because of miserly weakness.
In this condition I am asking You to tell me for
certain what is best for me. Now I am Your
disciple, and a soul surrendered unto You. Please
    instruct me.
  • Overcoming lower self
  • Bg 2.34 - People will always speak of your
infamy, and for a respectable person, dishonor is
    worse than death.

6
BG
  • Self-perception
  • Bg. 2.24 - This individual soul is unbreakable
and insoluble, and can be neither burned nor
dried. He is everlasting, present everywhere,
unchangeable, immovable and eternally the same.
  • Being Positive
  • Bg. 2.40 - In this endeavor there is no loss or
diminution, and a little advancement on this path
can protect one from the most dangerous type of
    fear.

7
BG
  • Confidence
  • One who takes shelter of the Supreme Lord has
nothing to fear, even in the midst of the
    greatest calamity. Bg 1.19 P
  • A strong faith that by Krsna consciousness one
will be elevated to the highest perfection of
life is called vyavasayatmika intelligence. Bg
    2.41 P
  • Faith means unflinching trust in something
    sublime. Bg 2.41 P

8
BG

fighting opportunities come unsought, opening for
them the doors of the heavenly planets. Bg 2.32
  • The servitor is always ready to render service to
the Lord, and, similarly, the Lord is always
seeking an opportunity to render some service to
    the devotee. Bg 1.21-22 P

9
BG
  • Potential
  • Bg. 2.29 - Some look on the soul as amazing, some
describe him as amazing, and some hear of him as

him, cannot understand him at all.
  • Focus
  • Bg. 2.41 - Those who are on this path are
resolute in purpose, and their aim is one. O
beloved child of the Kurus, the intelligence of
those who are irresolute is many-branched.

10
BG
  • Self-interest
  • Bg. 6.5 - One must deliver himself with the help
of his mind, and not degrade himself. The mind is
the friend of the conditioned soul, and his enemy
    as well.
  • Bg. 6.6 - For him who has conquered the mind, the
mind is the best of friends, but for one who has
failed to do so, his mind will remain the
    greatest enemy.

still more confidential. Deliberate on this
