ISES CWCS Phase 3

• In light of our strategic refocus with the
  statewide student information system, the
  ISES/CWCS focus is now on what improves the
  course-teacher-student link data quality, and
  what improves the overall efficiency for end
  users.

Announcements

• CWCS Phase 3 CW1 will open again in February
  2013
• Utilize Blackboard Collaborate for web-based
  training sessions
• DPI website switching over to the content
  management tool Drupal

Validate at School / District Level

• Review all informational messages
• Review / acknowledge all warning messages (can be
  done at the individual school or district level)
• Review / correct all warning messages
• Lock at the school level
• Validate at the district level

New Validation Message

• Part-Time Open Enrollment District versus
  Submitting District
• These two data field values may not BE equal.
• Throw an error message when PTOE District code
  and Submitting District code equal.

New Validation Message

• World Language and Bilingual/ESL indicators are
  mutually exclusive.
• May not apply a World Language indicator and a
  Bilingual/ESL indicator within the same
  section/course/teacher record.

Data Quality Checks

• When you submit a course that falls within the
  Foreign Language and Literature subject area you
  are required to select a World Language data
  field value other than null OR not applicable
  (NA).

• Dual Enrollment Credit - Cooperative Academic
  Partnership Program (CAPP) is being expanded to
  include
• College Credit in High School Any one of
  several programs existing in some Wisconsin
  school districts which allow students to take
  college-level courses, taught by a high school
  teacher, and receive college credits without
  attending the college campus.

• Dual Enrollment Credit Transcripted Credit
• Transcripted Credit (TC) High school courses
  taught by a high school teacher through which
  students can earn technical college credits based
  on an agreement between the high school and
  technical college.
