nothing harmful or evil. The land will be as full
of knowledge of the LORD as the seas are full of
    water. (Isaiah 119)

4
  • Rejoice, rejoice, people of Zion! Shout for joy,

Injustice
  • When they fasted and mournedduring these
seventy years it was not in honor of me. And when
they ate and drank, it was for their own
    satisfaction. (Zechariah 75-6 GN)
  • When you held daysall these seventy years, were
you doing it for me? And when you held feasts,
was that for me? Hardly. You're interested in
religion, I'm interested in people. (The
    Message)

10
  • We will bring the terrorists to justice.

11
  • This is what the LORD of Armies says Administer
    real justice,
  • and be compassionate and kind to each other.
Don't oppress widows, orphans, foreigners, and
poor people. And don't even think of doing evil
    to each other. (Zechariah 79,10)

12
  • These are the things you should do Speak the
truth to one another. In the courts give real
justice---the kind that brings peace. Do not plan
ways of harming one another. Do not give false
testimony under oath. I hate lying, injustice,
    and violence. (Zechariah 816-17)

13
  • Defend the poor and fatherless Do justice to
the afflicted and needy. (Psalm 823)

14
  • Wash yourselves clean. Stop all this evil that I
see you doing. Yes, stop doing evil and learn to
do right. See that justice is done---help those
who are oppressed, give orphans their rights, and
    defend widows. (Isaiah 116-17 GN)

15
  • This is what the LORD says to the dynasty of
David Give justice each morning to the people
you judge! Help those who have been robbed
rescue them from their oppressors. (Jeremiah
    2112 NLT)

16
  • The LORD is waiting to be kind to you. He rises
to have compassion on you. The LORD is a God of
    justice. (Isaiah 3018)
  • The LORD is waiting to be kind to you. He rises
to have compassion on you. The LORD is a God of
    justice. (Isaiah 3018)

17
  • For this is what the Sovereign LORD says
Enough, you princes of Israel! Stop your
violence and oppression and do what is just and
right. Quit robbing and cheating My people out of
their land. Stop expelling them from their homes,
says the Sovereign LORD. (Ezekiel 459 - NLT)

18
  • The LORD has told us what is good. What he
requires of us is this to do what is just, to
show constant love, and to live in humble
fellowship with our God. (Micah 66-8)

19
Tsedaka
  • The gist of Tsedaka is charity, the giving of
your time or money to help someone else, without
expecting something in return. It is one of the
    cornerstones of the Jewish religions.

20
  • How terrible for you, teachers of the Law and
Pharisees! You hypocrites! You give to God one
tenth even of the seasoning herbs, such as mint,
dill, and cumin, but you neglect to obey the
really important teachings of the Law, such as
justice and mercy and honesty. These you should
    practice, without neglecting the others.
    (Matthew 2323)

21
  • Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I
love, in whom I delight I will put my Spirit on
him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.
He will not quarrel or cry out no one will hear
his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will
not break, and a smoldering wick he will not
snuff out, till he leads justice to victory.
    (Matthew 1218-20 NIV)

22
  • God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement,
through faith in his blood. He did this to
demonstrate his justice, because in his
forbearance he had left the sins committed
beforehand unpunishedhe did it to demonstrate
his justice at the present time, so as to be just
and the one who justifies those who have faith in
    Jesus. (Romans 325-26 NIV)

23
  • God offered him, so that by his blood he should
become the means by which people's sins are
forgiven through their faith in him. God did this
in order to demonstrate that he is righteous. In
the past he was patient and overlooked people's
sins but in the present time he deals with their
sins, in order to demonstrate his righteousness.
In this way God shows that he himself is
righteous and that he puts right everyone who
believes in Jesus. (Romans 325 GN)

  • The angel who had been speaking to me came again
and roused me as if I had been sleeping. What do
you see? he asked. A lampstand made of gold, I
answered. At the top is a bowl for the oil. On
the lampstand are seven lamps, each one with
places for seven wicks. There are two olive trees
beside the lampstand, one on each side of it.
Then I asked the angel, What do these things
stand for, sir? Don't you know? he asked me.
No, I dont, sir. (Zechariah 41-5)

27
  • The angel told me to give Zerubbabel this
message from the LORD You will succeed, not by
military might or by your own strength, but by my
spirit. Obstacles as great as mountains will
disappear before you. You will rebuild the
Temple, and as you put the last stone in place,
the people will shout, Beautiful, beautiful!
    (Zechariah 46,7)

28
  • Then I asked him, What do the two olive trees
on either side of the lampstand mean? And what is
the meaning of the two branches of the olive
trees that feed oil to the lamps--what do they
mean? He asked me, Don't you know? No, I
don't, sir, I answered. Then he said, These are
the two men whom God has chosen and anointed to
serve him, the Lord of the whole earth.
    (Zechariah 411-14)

29
Oil
  • Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of
pressed olives for the light so that the lamps
may be kept burning. (Exodus 2720)
  • It is not by force nor by strength, but by my
    Spirit (NLT)
  • Holy Spirit

  • Then Saul---also known as Paul---was filled with
    the Holy Spirit (Acts 139)

32
  • The LORD says, Here is my servant, whom I
strengthen--- the one I have chosen, with whom I
am pleased. I have filled him with my Spirit, and
he will bring justice to every nation.
  • He will not shout or raise his voice or make loud
speeches in the streets. He will not break off a
bent reed nor put out a flickering lamp. (Isaiah
    421-4)

33
  • The Helper will come the Spirit, who reveals
the truth about God. (John 1526 GN)
  • When the Spirit comes, who reveals the truth
about God, he will lead you into all the truthHe
will give me glory, because he will take what I
say and tell it to you. (John 1613,14 GN)
  • I will ask the Father, and he will give you
another Helper, who will stay with you forever.
He is the Spirit, who reveals the truth about
    God. (John 1416-17 GN)

34
  • But a time is coming, and it is already here!
Even now the true worshipers are being led by the
Spirit to worship the Father according to the
truth. These are the ones the Father is seeking
to worship him. God is Spirit, and those who
worship God must be led by the Spirit to worship
him according to the truth. (John 423-24 CEV)

35
  • I have not stopped giving thanks to God for you.
I remember you in my prayers and ask the God of
our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, to
give you the Spirit, who will make you wise and
reveal God to you, so that you will know him.
    (Ephesians 116-17 GN)

36
  • But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace,
    patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
    humility, and self-control. (Galatians 522)
  • For the Spirit that God has given us does not
make us timid instead, his Spirit fills us with
    power, love, and self-control. (2 Timothy 17)

37
  • the seven lampstands are the seven churches.
    (Revelation 120 GN)
  • You are like light for the whole world. A city
built on a hill cannot be hid. No one lights a
lamp and puts it under a bowl instead it is put
on the lampstand, where it gives light for
everyone in the house. In the same way your light
must shine before people, so that they will see
the good things you do and praise your Father in
    heaven. (Matthew 514-16 GN)

  • He drives out demons only because their ruler
Beelzebul gives him power to do so. Jesus knew
what they were thinking No, it is not
Beelzebul, but God's Spirit, who gives me the
power to drive out demons, which proves that the
Kingdom of God has already come upon youFor this
reason I tell you people can be forgiven any sin
and any evil thing they say but whoever says
evil things against the Holy Spirit will not be
forgiven. Anyone who says something against the
Son of Man can be forgiven but whoever says
something against the Holy Spirit will not be
    forgiven---now or ever. (Matthew 1217-35)
