    the largest number of vehicles.

Drivers Safety Training Program
  • The course covers the following subjects and must
    be taken by all Students and is suggested for
    Faculty or Staff members who use a Yale owned
    vehicle or rent vehicles for business use (see
    Policy 1705)
  • Seeing and being seen
  • Having heightened awareness
  • Managing your speed
  • Road, user and weather hazards
  • Having the right attitude

  • Complete a pre-trip vehicle inspection
  • Understand the basic of Hazard Perceptions and
    what to look for.
  • How to use What If scenarios while driving
  • Manage their speed and space
  • Drive defensively under any weather or road
