3GLOBAL TEXTILE EXPORTS GROWTH growth is gtgtgtgtgt
4WORLD EXPORT OF HOME TEXTILES/MADE-UPS
(FIBRE-SHARE)
5Is it same Story in India???
- Answer is No
- Indias Total Exports of Home Textiles has a
very Low share of MMF textiles based Home
textiles. - What Does it means for US!!!!!!
- OPPORTUNITY
- How we translate this into the Volumes and
increased market share is the Key
6EXPORT OF INDIAN MMF TEXTILES
CAGR 11.93
7EXPORT OF INDIAN MMF MADE-UPS
CAGR 10.90
8Declining EXPORT OF POLYESTER COTTON FABRICS
9EXPORT OF POLYESTER COTTON FABRICS
10This is where the Answer is
- _at_Despite having Huge availability of Polyester
and Cotton why do we lag behind?? and could not
develop a core strength?? - _at_We are unable to Blend these perfectly in terms
of Economics - _at_Dyeing Finishing and making up???? thus making
not very viable Offer. - _at_Missing the Institutional Lower Middle to Now
even Upper Middle market segment which is HUGE - _at_ From Bed Room to Living room to Kitchen
dining, we restricted our market share world
wide.
11MAIN PRODUCTS OF INDIAN MMF HOME TEXTILES
12GROWTH IN CAGR PERCENTAGE
13HIGH GROWTH PRODUCTS OF INDIAN MMF HOME TEXTILES
14FUTURE PRODUCTS
- Manmade fibres dominated by Polyester
- acrylic staple fibre, nylon and viscose staple
fibre also recorded positive growth rates - Among polyesters, the filament is having a faster
growth than staple fibre. - However, the recent financial crisis has affected
polyester manufacturers as well, mainly because
of depressed demand in the US and EC and also due
to overhang of excess capacity in the supplying
countries. But it is sure that the signs of
economic recovery globally will again lead to
improved off take and production of polyester in
the immediate future. No other textile fibre is
yet to be seen on the textile horizon, which can
replace polyester from its present position of
basic strength and demand.
15HOME TEXTILES - CONSUMPTION

24STRENGHS OF INDIAN HOME TEXTILES INDUSTRY
- Availability of wider width weaving .
- Lesser Manufacturing Costs.
- Availability of Raw Materials.
- Skilled Manpower.
- Unmatched colours and designs.
- Low Volume Sourcing
25Weaknesses
- Yarn??Weaving??Processing Dyeing Finishing
Printing - Making UP- Automation
- Basically to Make an economically Viable Offer
and ability to handle Volumes (since in the lower
Price segment the volumes go high but that leaves
a Big issue ) - CONSISTENCY????
- Is Processing park an answer???
- As we have gone into frenzy of textiles park
which are mostly weaving?? - Dont we go for more value added product???
26We Have to strike a balance
- This Increasing weaving capacity of good quality
now Requires investments in Processing - Parks
- Environment clearances, Common Structure Nation
Wide - Than Labor Law reforms so Making Up efficiencies
increased .
