1
Cloning and the Genome Project
2
  • July 5 1996,Dolly,the first mammal to
be cloned from an adult somatic cell was born

3
IVF(in-vitro fertilization)
  • July 25 1978, Robert Edwards made the humans egg
    fertilized in the test tube
  • It means that the human can be fertilized and
form new lives outside the womb
  • He won the Nobel Prize
  • in medicine in 2010

4
Test tube babies
  • The progress removes ova(eggs) from the
woman's ovaries and letting  sperm  fertilize
them in a fluid medium. The fertilized egg
(zygote) is then transferred to the patient's
uterus with the intent to establish a successful
    pregnancy.

5
Cloned animals
  • A sheep can be cloned ,how about the human?
  • In theory,it is possible, but it will involve
many ethical problems.Imagine that one day you go
home and find a people who looks exactly the same
with you is having dinner with your family!!!What
    should you do?

6
  • Should human cloning be legalized?

  • 2. Curing Diseases
  • 3. Body Replacements
  • 4.Genetic Illness
