3You might be wondering, What do I need to do?
- Research (internet, database)
- Take notes
- Learn the basics of power point presentations
- Construct a presentation
- Present it!!!
- Take notes on other presentations
- Take a test that covers all presentations
4RESEARCH
- In the library- 2 days
- Use the Internet and databases
- Be sure to record WHERE you are getting your
info.. Why? Because you need to turn in a
BIBLIOGRAPHY to me when you present to the class
5WHAT DO I NEED TO RESEARCH???
- Regardless of the topic that you have been given,
you need to cover ALL of the sub-topics that I
have listed for you. - HOW you answer each of sub-topics is up to YOU.
(Many of the sub-topics are open to your
interpretation!)
6How do I use Power Point!!! Im freaking out
man! Dont worrypay attention, and you will be
fine. How do I???
make a slide (or a new slide?) pick a background?
change the letter colors? go back to an old slide?
change the format of the screen? Slide presentation style? (manual vs. timed)
7PRESENTATIONS
- Clear!
- Concise!
- Practiced!
- Length? At least 10 slides (not including title
slide, question slide, bibliography slide) - You need to discuss your topic, you cannot simply
read your slides!! (add comments besides those
listed on your slide) - Spelling counts
8What do you mean by Questions Slide?
- Basically, at the end of your presentation, you
must give your fellow comrades a list of ten
essential questions. In other words, ten
questions that they should be able to answer
after witnessing your presentation. - I will use some of these same exact questions on
your test.
9Finally, (drum roll please)
- Your bibliography slides!!!
- Rememberyou must include your resources when you
receive information from them and include them in
your presentation in the form of - Exact quotations
- Summary of what they said (but not word for word)
- Little known facts and/or figures
- Pictures
10How will you be graded?
11Best of Luck!!! Make sure you work hard for your
group!
