What is an Autobiography?

• An autobiography is the story of a persons life,
  written or told by that person.
• It's written from the first person point of view.
  
• An autobiography is based entirely on the
  writer's experiences and memories.
• It might also draw on other primary resources
  related to the time period, but it is intended to
  be a factual accounting.

Autobiography example
When I was twelve, I began volunteering at
the local newspaper. I didnt know it then, but
my plan to avoid dance lessons by working at The
Tribune two afternoons a week awakened in me a
thirst for journalism. Now, twenty years later,
though Ive covered news stories in major cities
all over the world, I still havent learned how
to dance.
