Who Am I?

• Welcome to class today. I am Mr. Lang 3.5, an
  upgrade over your current teacher, who is in ill
  health.
• I was created to guide you through your lesson
  today and insure that you understand what is
  expected of you.

Objectives

• Content -Student-teachers (that means you) will
  be able to identify the characteristics of a
  given climate.
• Language- Student-teachers (that still means you)
  will be able to use the proper vocabulary when
  speaking or writing about climate.
• Technology- Student-teachers (yes, this still
  means you) will be able to construct a power
  point presentation detailing their knowledge of a
  given climate.

Whats Already Been Done

• To this point you should have the skeleton of
  your power point presentation in place, with a
  title slide, a characteristics slide, a slide
  with the places this climate can be found, and
  animals and plants that are found in the climate.

Todays Task?

• Today, we will try to give more depth to the
  slides that give us the locations (places) where
  we can find the climates and the characteristics
  of the climates.

How will we accomplish this task?

• Youll have to head over to Mr. Langs website,
  of course!!!!!
• The information found will be added to beef up
  the characteristics slide and the places slide.

• In order to start our assignment, you need to
  head to Mr. Langs website.
• Once there, go to Tools of the Trade and select
  View All (its right next to it!)Ill pause
  here to give you sometime to do this.
• Please raise your hands when you have
  accomplished this.

• Once you have chosen View All, find the name of
  the climate your have been assigned. It should
  be in a power point file.
• Double click the power point file and answer your
  questions.

Tasks to be completed

1. Using the power point for your climate, find
   answers to Mr. Langs questions.
2. Take any new information from the power point and
   add it to your own.
3. Using the internet, find pictures of any new
   information.

Sneak Peek at the Rest of Your Week!

• Starting tomorrow, we will begin construction on
  your graphing using Microsoft Excel. You will be
  asked to graph the average temperatures of places
  in your climate over a thirty year period.
• On Friday, you will use Excel to graph data for
  your data notebooks.
