  1. The Third Commandment calls us to keep the
    Sabbath holy. The Sabbath
  1. Was part of creation and was understood in the
    Bible as a day of renewing covenant with God.
  2. Was a day that was primarily dedicated to worship
    of God, and secondarily to rest from work and
    relaxation with ones family.

    the day of Christian Sabbath.
  1. The Christian Sabbath, Sunday, continues the
    themes of worship and rest.
  2. We are obliged to make Sunday holy through
    participation in the Eucharist.
