Obtain Cheek Cells

• Gently Bite side of cheeks
• Swish 3 mls of water in mouth and spit it back
  into the test tube.

Lyse the cells

• Add 10 mls of the Lyse buffer solution to test
  tube

Denature Protein

• Add 5 drops of PROTEASE to the solution
• Heat at 50 degrees C for 10 minutes

Precipitate DNA

• Add 10 mls of ethanol to
