your readers encounter are engaging and
memorable.

piece of writing. As the name suggests, this is
where your readers are introduced to your ideas.

Paragraph One (in order)hookhistorythesis
When a cell phone goes off in a classroom or at a
concert, we are irritated, but at least our lives
are not endangered. When we are on the road,
however, irresponsible cell phone users are more
than irritating they are putting our lives at
risk. Many of us have witnessed drivers so
distracted by dialing and chatting that they
resemble drunk drivers. While some people believe
there should be more regulations because of the
dangers to drivers and passengers, others think
that people have learned to be responsible using
cell phones in cars.

Writing your conclusion
The conclusion of a piece of writing is just as
important as the introduction. Your conclusion is
your last chance to influence and make an
impression on your readers.
Your conclusion should
tie your ideas together
make a strong impression
give your reader a sense of completion

Writing your conclusion
One way to tie all of your ideas together is to
restate your thesis and summarize your main
points. Dont repeat the same words and
sentences find new ways to express your ideas.
13
Writing your conclusion
Answer the question So what? To make an
impression on your readers, show them that the
topic is important by relating it to their lives.
The assassination of RFK shows people that They
should not give up on achieving their goals.
14
Writing your conclusion
End with a final thought. Give your readers a
thoughtful comment, a personal reaction, or an
insight that ties your ideas both to the readers
experience and to the world in general.
