SCI-TECH FAQ'S
Are all subjects taught in SciTech? Yes, we meet
all the Ministry of Education expectations. We
are a full time program, 5 days per week from
823 a.m. until 220 p.m. We integrate the
expectations and enhance and extend science,
technology and mathematics. What do the
candidate's marks have to be? Although we
consider all applicants, with a large number of
interested students, successful applicants are
usually "A and B students".
11
SciTech FAQ'S
Can I stay in French Immersion and be in
SciTech? No, you must choose one regional
program. How does this program compare to the
gifted program? It doesn't compare. They have a
different focus. We focus on Science and
Technology and our students study and work to
very high provincial standards. What happens if
my child has an IEP (Individual Education
Plan)? If your child has an IEP and has been
deemed exceptional, we will maintain this
document as it is a Ministry mandate.

January 30th to February 7th. Is there a tour
of the school? Yes, if you are accepted into the
