Reasons for Nationalist Victory

• Greater unity - R-W groups bid for return to
  stability church powerful unifying influence
• Disunity of Republicans - even before war many
  different groups with little sympathy
• Paradoxically, it was the Right which was united
  in a cause and the Left was defending an inept
  status quo. Wolfson
• Greater supplies - Germany and Italy - greater
  than USSR. Men, equipment, food, even USA
• Non-intervention - lack of action
• Experience - army tactics and supply. Soviet
  technicians redressed balance only to certain
  extent. Francos command.
