13
MORE ABOUT ABSENCESThink of this as a job.
  • MISSING EVEN ONE DAY A STUDENT MISSES CRUCIAL
INFORMATION. MORE THAN ONE ABSENCE, A STUDENT
RUNS THE RISK OF NOT DOING WELL.
  • (You can compare this with missing a day of work
    on a job.)
  • REGARDLESS THE REASON FOR THE ABSENCE MATERIAL
IS STILL MISSED. (H.S. excused or not)

14
Grade Tracking
  • Its the students Job To
    Keep Track!!

16
STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

disability information he/she wishes to share

with the college counselor to make arrangements.
    Documentation must be submitted.

CAUTION!!
  • While beginning college early has many benefits,
it also comes with many responsibilities!
  • College classes are more work and more
independent study time is required. The same
curriculum is used for high school students as
with regular college students. There must be
adequate time in students schedules to allow for
    college study for each course.
  • Students need self discipline, maturity, good
    study skills and time management.
  • Good attendance is required. Projects, papers,
etc. must be turned in by certain deadlines.
