Background

• Jehoshaphat was the 4th king of Judah who
  reigned, c. 872-848 B.C. (1 Kings 2241-50 2
  Chron. 171 2037)
• There is an emphasis made in the life of this
  king on his right relationship with God (2 Chron.
  171-6)
• What can we learn from Jehoshaphat? We learn the
  importance of going to God first, before acting
  Bible study and prayer first, before making
  decisions in life

• Jehoshaphat wanted to hear from God before going
  to war (2 Chron. 184-7)

• Jehoshaphat wanted to hear from God in prayer
