A New Eastern Empirein Constantinople
  • Even though the Roman Empire in the West was
    falling, the Byzantine Empire in the East was
    thriving.
  • Diocletian left the empire to Constantine, who
    moved the capital and renamed it Constantinople.
  • Justinian became Emperor after Constantine.
    Justinian had a wife named Theodora.
