Definitions
  • Athletic Training an allied medical profession
    that is dedicated to maintaining and improving
    the health and well being of the physically
    active population and preventing athletic-related
    injuries and illnesses
  • Sports Medicine refers to the care of physically
    active people who have suffered athletic injury
    or illness
  • National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA)
    the governing board for athletic training, and
    the NATA is responsible for setting professional
    standards.
