• Lots of audio editing software out there
• Current software allows for editing a sound byte
  as a whole

• No easily available and intuitive software for
  sound production and editing on a minute scale

• Create an graphical, intuitive, user friendly
  application which allows for manipulation of a
  sound on a frequency band level

• Multiple frequency band channels which our
  individually editable with graphical updates
  depicting sound being edited
• Preserve original sound during editing process
• Simultaneous playback of separate band channels
  for preview while editing
• Allow export of edited sound

• Target User Producer, Podcaster, DJ, Studio
  Engineer etc.
• Components This system will be an application
  utilizing a graphical user interface and needs no
  special hardware

• Team Comprised of 2 Computer Science majors-
  confident in Java
• 1 Computer Engineer, comfortable with an array of
  programming languages and having experience in
  Signal Processing
• Testing and Implementation- Enterprise Labs,
  Undergraduate Labs

Other Concerns

• Not many. In the case of an incompatible sound
  type- message box, return to previous operation
• System WILL provide a means to break apart a
  sound and edit frequency bands of original sound
• System WILL NOT provide an entire music editing
  platform i.e. metronome, MIDI, recording of
  sounds, etc.
