- If student has less than 12 hours of college,
high school transcript is used

form and must be documented by a supervisor.

The top 50 (highest scores) eligible students are
invited to General Information Session. Out of
the top 50 we select the top 24-32 for each
program. All remaining students are alternates.
10How to get a higher score
- Continue taking general education courses
- Take required science courses
- highest grade possible
- repeat a course if necessary to improve grade
- Improve your overall GPA
- retake courses (non-program) with a low or
failing grades - with repeats, highest grade used to calculate GPA
- academic fresh start
- Obtain work experience (If applicable)

- Two-Three weeks after deadline date
- Students with top scores invited to information
session - Notice of non-acceptance returned to other
applicants - Following information session
- Top candidates offered position
- Others put on alternate list
- New application must be made each year to be
eligible for selection.

of completion of LTCA program.

- Look at program degree plan and determine when
clinicals begin. - All vaccination requirements must be complete
including the Hepatitis B vaccination - American Heart Association, Healthcare Provider

Pre-requisite Sciences (ONLY) - HESI Exam Score
- Science GPA Calculation
- Courses are (BIOL 2401, BIOL 2402, BIOL 2420 and
CHEM 1406) - BIOL courses must be within 5 years.
- Applicants have 2 attempts only to receive their
competing grade within Science course. - A withdrawal or drop counts as an attempt.
- Recommended They complete General Biology first.
