  • India ruled by a Viceroy (Governor acting through
    the Monarchy)

  • Brings order and stability
  • Fairly honest
  • Created a new education system
  • Transportation and postal system improved
  • Education system only educated highest ten
    percent of population
  • British made goods destroyed local businesses
  • Farmers growing less food resulting in starvation
