• User account in wiki
• Username
• Password

• Created for registered user only
• Profile page of the user
• Created with the name as users wiki account
  name.
• Format Userltltusernamegtgt
• Present on the top right hand next to the user
  icon.

• Edit box
• Summary of the page
• Save Page

Summary of the page

• Short edit summary after every edit.
• Short edit summary in the small field below the
  edit-box.
• Displayed in the 'history'.
• Helps identifying the versions
• What changes are made in that version.

Save Page

• Maintains versioning of the data.
• The edits are done are categorized into two
  types
• Major Edit
• Minor Edit

Minor Edit (cont..)

• Mark an edit as a minor edit by checking the
  check box
• Next to the 'This is a minor edit', above the
  Save page button.
• Only superficial differences exist between the
  current and previous versions
• typographical corrections
• formatting and presentational changes
• rearrangement of text without modification of
  content, etc.

Minor Edit (cont..)

• Marked in its page's revision history with a
  lower case, bolded "m" character (m).
• Major Edit
• By default, all the edits are major edits

Show preview

• Shows how the page looks with your edits
• Does not save changes that you have made.
• Displays a warning

Show changes

• Differences between the page with your edits and
  the previous version of the page
• The comparison with the previous version and the
  current text is displayed in two columns.
• denotes addition of information
• - denotes deletion of information.
• A word or sentence deleted is displayed in red
  color.

Cancel

• To cancel any editing done to the page
• It cancels the current action on the page
• Displays the previous version of the page(latest
  version of the saved page).

  edits
• "Show changes" - Differences between the page
  with your edits and the previous version of the
  page
