Did you know?

• Texas has experienced many changes when the
  railroad arrived, cities and industries
  developed, and farmers moved farther west.

Texas became a state in 1845, and oil was
discovered in 1900.

In fact, Texas government has changed!
Really?
After being a state for only 16 years, Texans,
who wanted to keep their slaves, decided to join
the Confederate States of America.
