  steps to follow in a process or set of directions
  or the events in a story.
• Chronological order often refers to time order
  such as the important events in a persons life
  as depicted on a timeline with specific dates.
• Sequence and chronological order are synonymous
  terms.

• Transition words are words used to connect one
  idea to another. These words help the reader to
  connect logical relationships and recognize the
  correct order of events in a passage.
• Examples first, second, next, before, then,
  after, now, later, finally, until, lastly
