Who is this teacher?
  • Graduated from Kean University with a B.A. in
    English and elementary education (certified to
    teach K-12 in Language Arts/English)
  • Several years of 7th grade Language Arts
    experience.
  • Park Middle School Newspaper Advisor

What will we be doing this year?
  • The goal of this class is to write, reflect, and
    discuss topics that relate to our students as
    individuals, as well as the world around them. We
    will accomplish this by linking Language Arts
    concepts to our writing tasks and writing in a
    variety of forms.

Meet All Deadlines!
  • Most of the work for Writing Workshop is
    completed in class, which means students must be
    on task!
  • Students are given ample time to finish writing
    tasks however, if an assignment is not finished
    by a deadline, they will need to finish it at
    home.

  • Writing Workshop is student centered, which means
    all students take ownership for their learning.

  • Published, Final Writing Tasks 50
  • Writers Notebooks/ Smaller Writing Tasks- 30
  • Class participation/Classwork (conferences,
    individual work and preparation of materials)- 20
