What is the competition?
  • An international competition hosted by the U.S.
    Department of Energy that gives 20 teams the
    opportunity to build and show a solar-powered
    house.

Proposal 500 word narrative
  • Team Missouri will celebrate the symbiotic
    relationship between rural and urban environments
    through bridging agriculture and the super use of
    common materials in an urban greenhouse setting.
    The showcasing of technology and the benefits of
    adapting rural elements into an urban society
    will function as an outlet to educate the public
    on the magnitude of urban societys impact on the
    environment.

  • Unfortunately, Team Missouri was not selected for
    the 2011 competition, so its sights are set on
    2013
  • The team will be working independent of Rolla for
    the 2013 competition
