    Institute. The certification process guarantees

How Do I Become a PHI / EHO?
  • Certificate in Public Health Inspection
  • The Certificate in Public Health Inspection
    (Canada), CPHI(C), is granted by the Canadian
    Institute of Public Health Inspectors to those
    candidates who fulfill the requirements set forth
    in the Regulations Respecting the Certificate in
    Public Health Inspection (Canada) and Governing
    the Board of Certification of Public Health
    Inspectors.
  • Education
  • The following educational institutions in Canada
    currently provide programs of instruction that
    have been approved by the Board of Certification

How Do I Become a PHI / EHO?
Practical Experience In order to be eligible to
sit the Examination to obtain the CPHI(C), every
candidate must satisfactorily complete a twelve
(12) week minimum practicum in the basic
inspection programs. Foreign candidates must
apply to the board in advance and the academic
transcripts reviewed for equivalencies. If full
equivalency is granted by the BOC, 26 weeks of
field training are required.
