trainees are going digital! Using iPads
trainees are learning how to create electronic
portfolios (e-Portfolios) to replace the
traditional notebook portfolio.
SHARING
ASSESSMENT
- Collaboration with Virginia Commonwealth
Universitys Student e-Services, LEND trainees
create their e-Portfolios using a WordPress
template. - This free, easy to use software allows for a
creative, media rich digital space as well as a
repository for course assignments. - Can be updated and edited with minimal effort and
at no cost to LEND or the Trainee.. - e-Portfolios demonstrate engagement through
self-assessment, reflection, and documents
evidence of accumulated experiences - Allows further reflection engagement and sharing
through an interactive electronic medium.

- e-Portfolios make learning visible to the
e-Portfolio owner or those given permission to
access such as instructors or employers. - Offers a rich alternative to traditional forms of
assessment - Can be used as part of the professional
development process in any setting . - Provides the owner with a portable digital
