Whats Plagiarism?
  • When writers use material from other sources,
they must acknowledge it. Not doing so is
plagiarism, which means using without crediting
    and parenthetically citing the ideas,
    expressions, or words of another.
  • (1) Plagiarism is using word for word, without
    acknowledgment, phrases, sentences, paragraphs,
essays, etc., from the written material of
    others
  • (2) Plagiarism is using with only slight changes
    the materials of another
  • (3) Plagiarism is using the general plan, the
main headings, or a rewritten form of someone
else's material. This applies to the work of
other students as well as to the published work
of professional writers in print or on the
    internet.

This stuff was paraphrased from The Purdue
On-Line Writing Lab at owl.english.purdue.edu,
so, its not plagiarized!
4

    admitting guilt regarding plagiarism
