FGDC Standards Update

• FGDC Standards Working Group (SWG) met most
  recently on February 27, 2008
• SWG voted to approve a proposal for development
  of a Cultural Resources Data Standard through the
  FGDC
• SWG voted to recommend that the FGDC Coordination
  Group approve public review of the draft Federal
  Trails Data Standard

50 States Initiative

• Nine FGDC Grants from 2006 have plans completed
  CT, LA, MD, MN, OK, NH, WV, WI, WY Two pending
  NH TX
• FGDC Grants to 12 States for Strategic and
  Business plans in 2007 CA, DC, FL, IA, IL, IN,
  ME, MO, NY, SD, UT, VT
• 10 Grants Planned in 2008 Proposals currently
  under review
• Kick-Off Meeting/Training scheduled for NSGIC
  Mid-Year, March 9, 2008
