Refresh drawing tips

• 1. Check negative space (the space in-between and
  around the positive shape)

• 2. Check angles (using your pencil to see the
  angle the line is on - check your drawing)

• 4. Line things up (use your pencil to see the
  height of things compared to other things).

Types of drawing (review)

• Blind contour drawing without looking at the
  page. Very careful hand/eye co-ordination is
  important here.

• Linear contour drawing working with line only to
  describe the object.

• Tonal (value) drawing using shades of graphite
  to distinguish lights, mediums darks.

• Expressive non-objective drawing using an
  expressive line, a kind of energy is included in
  the drawing.

• Artists drawing a rendering using line, tone
  and expressive marks to convey the subject in an
  interesting visually effective manner.
