• In the last lesson we talked about how to show
  you are listening.
• Who can remember what we talked about?
• Today we are going to talk about how to start a
  conversation.

• Sometimes it can be hard to start a conversation
  or join a group.
• There are some things that you can do to make it
  easier.
• For example, you could have a set of words ready.

• Here are some extra words you could use.
• Can I join in?
• I want to ask a question
• I saw that you....
• Do you want to hear what I did on the weekend?
• I like your shoes.
• I have a DS too.

• Circle the RIGHT answer
• Sit quietly.
• Get cross with the girls.
• The boy could ask the girls if he can join in.

Yeah sure you can.

Activity

• Everybody write something they would like to say
  on the piece of paper they have been given.
• The first person to be asked by the teacher has
  to turn to the person next to them and tell them
  what they wrote.
• The person then makes a circle. Now we will make
  a chain of words like a conversation.
