services. Around 5.7 million patients in England
are invited to give their views each year. The
GP patient survey is part of the Government
commitment to make the NHS more responsive to
patients needs.

We have a third receptionist every morning which
enables both telephone lines and reception desk
to be covered at all times during the busy
morning. We have telephone appointments
available to book with the GPs every morning as
well as a Duty GP message book for same day
urgent messages We have a nurses message book
which has a 48hr turn around time for any
non-urgent messages For test results we
recommend that you call between 1-3pm as these
are our less busy times

All GP appointments on Mondays and days before
and after a bank holiday are only bookable on the
day to ensure that we can deal with the number
of patients who need to see a GP. There is a
Duty GP available every day who deals with all
emergency calls. Each GP has a set number of
appointments daily, if these are taken then the
duty GP deals with all other urgent appointments.

appointments daily but at times of sickness or
increased demand we ask that all patients are
aware that it is not always easy to find Locum
GPs at short notice. We have a Working Persons
Clinic on Wednesday we have appointments up to
750pm with the GP and Nurse We have some
0830am appointments available with GP, nurse and
healthcare assistant.

We are all on one level and are wheel chair
accessible. We have a wheel chair in the surgery
which is available to all patients using the
practice. All staff are fully trained in
matters concerning patient confidentiality. We
are aware that reception is an open area and if
you need to talk about any thing confidential
please let the receptionist know so you can move
away from the main area.

Our nurses have pre-bookable appointments up to
three weeks in advance. They offer a wide range
of services including contraception advice,
smoking cessation, travel immunisations, asthma
and diabetic reviews. Our nurse prescriber Sue
has same day minor illness appointments available
as well as late night clinic appointments on a
Wednesday evening. We have a heath care
assistant who can take blood, perform ECGs and
check blood pressure. We also have a
phlebotomist who can take blood and check blood
pressure.
