• Headship is a position of a leader
• Husband means to rule, to dominate in a godly
• manner
• Husband is a lover like Christ is to the Church
• Husband is responsible for family well being
• Husband must meet the wifes spiritual, physical,
  and
• mental needs

• A HUSBAND IS A LOVER NOT A TYRANT
• He does not dictate or boss his family around
  (Eph.525-27 nlt)
• He is a loving, thoughtful servant to his family
• Like Christ he will give his life for his family
• Like Christ with love and kindness he will draw
  his family to him (Jer.313)
• He who loves his wife loves himself (Eph.528nlt)

• Four important Greek words
• Erotic- eros-is a passion type love especially in
  a sexual relationship
• Storge- natural family affection more human
• Philo- to be tender affectionate as a friend to
  a friend.
• Agape- divine love which looks beyond our faults
  and see our need
• All of these are needed in the marriage.
