the color.

• Many chemical reactions by mixing two colorless
  solutions can produce colored product(s), viz.,
• Acidic phenolphthalein solution contacts with
  alkali solution (red color)
• Iodide solution reacts with H2O2 (brown)
• Iodide/starch reacts with iodate (blue)

Fantastic Filter Paper(????)

• To make a drawing on a filter paper with color
  sign pen.
• Fold the filter paper in a cone shape
• Immerse the paper in a water tank
• Allow water flow through the paper to develop
  color pattern

Chemical Magic Board(?????)

• Soak a filter paper with iodide solution
• Place the paper on a copper plate
• Make electric connection between the metal plate
  and a battery
• Use another electrode to draw a diagram on the
  paper
• As the result of a redox reaction, a color
  pattern may emerge.

DIY Souvenir (???????)

• Use oil-base sign pen to draw an art design onto
  a copper plate
• Put the copper plate into a nickel plating bath
• Connect the copper plate to the cathode of a
  battery
• Graphite electrode was used as the anode
• After 10 min of electrolysis, a nice pattern will
  be formed on the surface of the Cu plate

Preserve your finger print (???)

• Wet your finger tip with a film of paraffin
• Make your finger print onto a filter paper
• Use carbon powder to trace the print
• Cover the finger print with a tape
• A permanent finger print could be obtained

• Use a sun-light lamp as the source of the sun
• A container is filled with carbon dioxide (could
  be generated in situ)
• Another container is filled with air as the
  control
• Turn on the lamp, monitor the temperature of the
  two containers
