• Marks the end of an era on the geological time
  scale.

Adaptation

• A characteristic that helps an organism survive
  and reproduce in its environment.
• Examples
• Finding food
• For protection
• For moving from place to place

Mutation

• This is NOT the same as an adaptation.
• A Mutation is a change in a gene. (Remember!!)
