• -AR verbs you have used until now are called
  REGULAR verbs because they follow a pattern.
• Verbs that do not follow a regular pattern are
  called IRREGULAR verbs.

The Verb Estar

• Estar is an IRREGULAR verb.
• It means to be in English.
• (I am, you are, she is, he is, we are, they are)

• In writing, be sure to use the accent mark on all
  forms except the yo and nosotros forms.

• Estar is used to tell the "location of a person
  or a thing.
