- The vision of Northwest ISD fine arts is to be
the premier school district in the state of Texas
for the visual and performing arts.
3- Northwest ISD is committed to providing every
student with the highest level of instruction in
the visual and performing arts. - The comprehensive fine arts program includes
studies in the areas of Art, Band, Cheerleading,
Choir, Color/Winter Guard, Dance, Debate,
Elementary Music, Music Theory, Jazz Band,
Orchestra, Speech and Theatre. - 113 teachers serving over

8- Highlights of Program Accomplishments
- 14 Students qualified for state in 2014 in the
areas of tech theatre, debate, choir, and
orchestra - Byron Nelson Color Guard placed 2nd at the NTCA
Championship - Student art work at Fort Worth Stock Show and
sold for 2,450 - First NISD orchestra all-state student (ranked 13
in the state) - Band, Choir, and Orchestra programs won a total
of 27 Sweepstakes awards - Byron Nelson received perfect scores at all UIL
events for band, choir, and orchestra - Nico Holt won the Gold Seal award for Art from
Texas VASE - The Northwest Sidekicks were the 2014 Grand
Champion overall winners at the Marching
Auxiliaries dance contest - Significant increase in band, choir, and
orchestra All-Region participants. 207 students
were selected. - Northwest ISD Elementary Honor Choir was selected
to perform at the Texas Music Educators
Conference (February 2013) - Fine Arts programs have received more than
250,000 in grants over the past five years.
