Neonatal resuscitation

• More than 10 of premature babies need help to
  start breathing at birth
• Basic resuscitation through use of a bag and mask
  will save four out of every five babies who need
  resuscitation
• Expert opinion suggests that basic resuscitation
  for preterm births reduces preterm mortality by
