Purpose

• Fulfill the requirements of the NCP under 40 CFR
  300 for each region
• Link together Area Contingency Plans
• Compliment or work in coordination with all other
  plans
• Target audiences are Area Commands, geographical
  gaps between plans, agency executives, etc
• Broader agency MOUs, Policies

Current State

• ORCP started back in mid 90s
• Remains unsigned / unexercised
• Approximately 170 pages
• 25 appendixes (not currently with plan but many
  available)
• One round of reviews completed

Moving forward

• Page by page review completed
• Developed ORCP Action plan (Excel)
• Identified experts for specific sections
• Distributed work already
• More to be distributed / reviewed / merged into
  plan

End State

• Have the plan ready for signature by Co-Chairs by
  early November 2008
• Exercise the plan
• Focus on developing all the appendixes in 2009
