Success in middle school involves much more than
just good grades!
  • Tablet (Make sure it is always charged)
  • Keep organized
  • Turn in assignments on time
  • Attend tutorials when needed
  • Communication with teachers and staff
  • Ask questions for help when necessary
  • Maintain a well-rounded schedule which includes
    extra-curricular activities

6th Grade Schedule
  • 8 periods
  • Double block for Math (90 minutes)
  • 1 Language Arts
  • 1 Science
  • 1 Social Studies
  • 1 P.E. (all 6th graders take P.E.)
  • 1 elective of a Fine Art (band, choir, or
    orchestra)
  • 1 other elective which could include a second
    fine art
  • 4 minutes for passing period

  • Math Pre AP or Math
  • Language Arts Pre AP, LA, or
  • G/T (for identified GT students)
  • Science Pre AP or Science
  • Social Studies Pre AP or World Cultures

  • Students must choose one elective from

  • The 2nd elective is chosen from
  • Introduction to Art
  • Introduction to Theatre Arts
  • Technology Applications
  • Teen Leadership
  • Band, Orchestra, or Choir (student may elect to
    take double fine art)
  • Reading SSI, Math SSI (Based on current or
    previous performance)
