U.S. will not survive - Childhood cancer isnt just one diseasethere are
over a dozen major types and countless subtypes,
each requiring specific research to develop the
best treatment for every child - In the last 20 years, only 2 new drugs have been
specifically developed to treat children with
cancer - Less than 4 of the National Cancer Institutes
budget is directed to childhood cancer research

- Since 2000, more than 5,970 events have been held
raising over 152 million for lifesaving
childhood cancer research - Events take place in restaurants, schools,
churches, parks, stadiums, malls, military bases,
firehouses and any other place you can imagine - With events in all 50 states and several
countries, theres sure to be a St. Baldricks
event near you!

- Head-Shaving Facts
- St. Baldricks signature head-shaving events
began as a challenge between 3 friends and have
grown from 1 event in 2000 to more than 1,300
events in 2012 - Since 2000 More than 249,300 shaveesSM
including more than 25,370 women have shaved
their heads - More than 56,240 shavees got bald in 2012
- Since 2007 More than 10,850 barbers have
volunteered their services -

The St. Baldricks Foundation exists to conquer
childhood cancers! Since the Foundations first
grants as an independent charity in 2005, it has
awarded more than 103 million to support the
best in pediatric oncology research, making St.
Baldricks the largest private funder of
childhood cancer research grants.
